Mohsen Gilani (FMA'03) Elected President of Pakistan Football Federation

The FIFA Master Alumni Association (FMA) is proud to celebrate the election of our fellow alumnus, Mohsen Gilani (Class of 2003), as the new President of the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF).

Following a long-awaited and closely watched democratic process, Mohsen’s election marks not only a turning point for football in Pakistan but also a major milestone for the global FIFA Master community. His appointment is seen as a new chapter for the PFF—one focused on unity, transparency, and development in one of Asia’s most passionate footballing nations.

With a professional background that includes experience with FIFA, regional confederations, and strategic football development initiatives, Mohsen brings with him a wealth of knowledge, international perspective, and a strong commitment to inclusive governance. His call for reconciliation within the PFF and the formation of an Executive Committee that embraces voices from across the electoral spectrum signal his determination to build a stronger, more collaborative federation.

Mohsen’s election has been widely covered in Pakistani and international media. Business Recorder reported that the elections, held under the supervision of the Pakistan Sports Board, brought together various stakeholders after years of institutional challenges in the federation. His victory represents a consensus among diverse groups determined to revitalise the sport at all levels.

The FMA congratulates Mohsen on this well-deserved achievement and wishes him every success in leading the future of football in Pakistan.
