Pierre Ducrey (FMA'03) Appointed as IOC Sports Director
The FIFA Master Alumni Association (FMA) proudly congratulates Pierre Ducrey (Class of 2003) on his recent appointment as Sports Director at the International Olympic Committee (IOC)—one of the most prestigious leadership roles in global sport.
Pierre’s appointment, officially announced by the IOC on May 26, 2025, recognises more than two decades of dedicated service to the Olympic Movement. Having most recently served as Olympic Games Associate Director, Pierre has played a central role in overseeing the planning and delivery of the Olympic Games and Youth Olympic Games, and has worked tirelessly to ensure the IOC’s mission of excellence, sustainability, and global unity through sport.
Pierre’s contributions extend well beyond his IOC responsibilities. He was instrumental in shaping the early development of the FIFA Master Alumni Association itself, as a member of the inaugural FMA Committee, formed in 2003.
As the new Sports Director, Pierre will oversee the strategic coordination of all aspects of sport within the IOC, including relationships with International Federations, Games delivery, and the continual evolution of the Olympic programme.
His leadership comes at a pivotal time for global sport, and the FMA is confident that he will bring his characteristic integrity, clarity of purpose, and vision to this influential role.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Pierre and look forward to following his continued impact on the world stage.
